Kingston Council Update including Foreshore & Bushland.

Rosemary attended and asked 2 questions regarding Groves Reserve
The 5th soccer pitch at Kingston Heath Reserve was passed. They have an $800,000 government grant to pay for it.

LXRA and the Mordialloc Railway precinct

Judy, Travis and Bruce are on the Stakeholders Liasson group.
There has been a long trail of emails regarding the future of Groves Reserve.
Station St, Aspendale has been blocked off on both sides of Groves Reserve. Travis reported that trees have been marked for removal. Members have visited before access is denied. They were appalled by LXRA’s disregard for this significant Coastal Banksia Woodland (natural/remnant).
Council want their Reserve protected but are powerless to protect it. This piece of land was gifted to the City of Chelsea in 1920 by Groves.
We need to request a meeting with Tim Richardson.
Read The BIOSIS report 2018
Contact Media, Politicians, post on Social Media
Bruce has had a conversation with an LXR representative and will call again with more questions and alternatives to protect Groves Reserve.
