Learmonth’s Reserve Thomsons Rd nominated and accepted as a Botanical Garden.
Many canopy trees on private land given permits to remove. Need to keep track of this.
Level Crossing Removal Project – Mordialloc Railway precinct
On behalf of various community groups our members of the stakeholders group were asked to pitch for the BIOSIS team as they wrote the Environmental Management Plan to manage the revegetation of Groves Reserve.

Areas where vegetation has been removed will be replanted. Judy to write to Emily Boucher and also refer to the damaged Casuarina tree at Mordialloc Sailing Club.

The one and only Casuarina tree has been butchered. Wayne is onto it. He has been told Council are onto it. Attempting to obtain video footage.

New owners want 8 large subdivisions, rather than the previous 31.

New members. Bruce Cutts being one of them. Mat Shanks as a new member will Chair the meetings
Green Wedge Coalition
Have written to the Minister of the Environment to request a meeting.
Soil is being dumped on Green Wedge land and owners are being paid per cubic metre to take it.
Bradshaw Bushland Reserve
VEFN grant to Friends group spent on log habitat boxes. Invite Genevieve Bond to our meeting.
Environment Victoria
Have hired a campaign manager Chris Schuringa from Forest Alliance. Will merge Nature and Climate campaigns. Legal challenges are slowing down such things as salvage logging. Forest Fire Management are very slow to respond to the science of controlled burn offs. The building of fire breaks are another threat to our forests.
