A motion was put to – Change MBCL monthly meetings to bi – monthly meetings.
Motion was passed.
Judy will stay on as President until the end of 2026.
For important issues Committee will meet or email to be used for short term actions.
Members are asked to send in reports in a WORD document and Bronwen will put them in a Newsletter.
Council Update
Food trucks. Applications closed on May 31st. It is proposed that food trucks and ‘Wellbeing places” be allowed to operate in Kingston. This includes areas near the foreshore. Concerns were voiced regarding parking, frequency and commercialisation of our open spaces.
There were a rather lot of applications to remove canopy trees. RW to check if there is a requirement to replace or not.

Council to support Edithvale public Golf Course with a grant.
Council are selling off 3 properties including 2 Scout Halls.
Rossdale Golf Course
Committee continue to investigate. So still waiting for outcome.
Peter Scullin Reserve and Casuarina tree at Mordialloc Sailing Club.
After the vandalism of the tree letters have been written by Wayne to Emily Boucher and the Sailing Club Commodore. Judy has written to Emily as well. There has been a response from Candice Mingo (foreshore coordinator). The story continues……

Mentone RSL
At a meeting the liquidator stated that they will do their best to reopen. Apparently, they have a huge tax bill. Could Mark Dreyfus be of any assistance? Efforts to getting a State Heritage overlay on building are underway.

Mordialloc Creek Community
The long-awaited Melbourne Water wetland is scheduled for 2027. The underpass under the rail tunnel access will be discussed at the next Council Meeting.

Green Wedge Coalition
A Mega data centre is proposed for the west at Plumpton (As big as 176 MCG’s).
3 sites for Battery Storage systems are also proposed for the Green Wedge. Representatives of the Green Wedge Coalition have been to see 2 Government advisors to voice concerns.
Bradshaw Bushland Reserve
The friends plan to continue their working bees after they have disincorporated. What a wonderful job the volunteers do.
