Restore the Bay meeting. Port Phillip Conservation Council will attend
Kingston Residents Association submission to ordinary council meeting 2/2/26 re: Kingswood Golf Club
Rossdale Golf Course
It appears the Minister for Planning has handed control over to Council. Keep watching.
Council Update
Permit issued for removal of vegetation for a boardwalk near bird hide at Edithvale Seaford Wetlands.
Accepted the petition for the Le Bon collection to be housed in a vacation kindergarten. The collection has dwindled from 1300 down to 231, which council have now.
Level Crossing Removal Project – Mordialloc Railway precinct
Going on a walking tour to view the present works at Mordialloc. They are open to recommendations.
Peter Scullin Reserve
Vegetation dieback to the right of the pier. Letter to be written to Emily Boucher to discuss this matter. Are they going to replant?
Coast & Creek Booklet
Mick has had problems with the digital copy of the booklet, but will endeavour to get the PDF to Travis.
Kingswood Golf Course
This golf course appears to be lost to housing. Unfortunately there is more housing planned now, than originally. Local residents want to minimize the amount of housing. The infrastructure won’t cope with demand.
Reports from Groups
Mordialloc Creek Community
Next meeting is on Friday 13th February 2026
The Grange
The bird watchers are a large percentage of the new committee. The Green Links Sandbelt Nursery has moved to Spring Valley Golf Course until June. The nursery is looking for a new home. Mick hopes they will move to the tennis area adjacent to the Grange.
Kingston Residents Association
Sent submission to Council, KRA congratulated the Council on the upgrade of Kingston Heath Botanical Gardens, and the stormwater harvesting project at Bricker Reserve.
