Green Wedge
The State Government have announced they are going ahead with the Heatherton Train stabling yard. The Move the Train Yard group are continuing their battle
Pompei Development Site
The use of the Pompei sign as a condition of permit is still unresolved. VCAT on August 16th. If still unresolved, the matter will go to a Compulsory Hearing
Peter Scullin & Hazel Pierce Reserves
Check out the Hazel Pierce Reserve Master Plan (found in Mordialloc Creek Master Plan 2012). Still waiting on revised version
Bradshaw Bushland Reserve
Where Council propose a shared pathway, they will be comprising a list of flora along the railway corridor. There is an upcoming meeting with Council and the Level Crossing Removal landscape architect.
Dents Reserve
Dents Reserve is open to the public. Walk & Talk on August 27th.
It has been declared a Dog Free Zone and will probably be given an aboriginal name.
Kingston Residents Association
Annual General Meeting. Interesting discussion on diversity and inclusion by Cr Davey Burns and Bronwyn Currie.
Environment and Open Spaces Strategic Advisory Committee
Chelsea Heights Park is seen as environmentally signifcant.
Council are rewriting the Open Space Strategy. Every open space is classified. 24 ha per thousand. Hopefully maintain this.
Check out Integrated Water Strategy – Recycled water use. One in Dingley and one planned along the Longbeach trail.

DELWP – Environmental Volunteering Team have undertaken data collection for their annual report on volunteering across Victoria.
